Build the Future of AI-Native UX in 4 Hours

Web Dev Challenge S2.E6 Coming Tuesday, Jul 15

What could you create if you had 30 minutes to plan and 4 hours to build? Seve Savoie Teruel, Ben Pack, Lyn Scott Jr., Ebrima Jobe, Bryn Newell, and Jacob Singer take on the Web Dev Challenge to find out.

The Challenge

Everyone keeps talking about how AI will change everything we know about interacting with the web — we want you to show us what it actually looks like.

We can talk about ideas all day, but until we actually build it, it’s just talk.

AI tooling creates a lot of interesting, disruptive capabilities that developers can take advantage of when imagining what the UI and UX of the future looks like.

Your challenge is to throw out preconceptions about what a website or app should be, and build your own interpretation of what they can be if we leverage tools like MCP-powered agents, RAG, generative UI, and more.

Choose any experience you’re interested in reimagining: a landing page, dashboard, personal site, e-commerce, social network, or something entirely novel. Let’s stop just talking about the future and actually start building it!

The Sponsor: Algolia

Your app must use Algolia as part of the build.

Algolia’s main objective is to give developers everything they need to leverage their site’s data in whatever way they can imagine.

From the InstantSearch they built their name on, to automated crawlers, RAG as a Service, and offering an MCP agent for AI-powered recommendations and tooling that’s aware of your content into the site, Algolia is out to make it easier than ever for developers to build experiences that are heavily context-aware and tailored to the content that’s actually on your site.
